I found my stay at La Renaissance Hotel & Spa to be quite disappointing overall. While the staff were mostly friendly and helpful, the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms required significant attention. The location was convenient, but the noise from traffic was intrusive, making it hard to relax. I would consider alternatives for my next visit to Marrakesh.

Rooms
5.0
The room was large but not well-maintained, with issues like a broken door handle and flickering TV. My experience with cleanliness was mixed, as I found some areas satisfactory while others desperately needed upkeep.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and responsive when I requested items like salt and pepper, but the reception was chaotic and some staff did not speak English. Their service wasn’t consistent, and communication could be frustrating.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located in a busy area of Marrakesh, which is great for exploring nearby restaurants, but the constant noise from traffic made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor spaces.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was meant to start at 7 AM but was often late, and some food items didn't seem fresh. The overall dining experience felt lacking, especially when it came to coffee and hot drinks.
Facilities
5.0
While there were facilities like the hammam that I enjoyed, the rooftop pool felt neglected and more like a birdbath. The overall maintenance of public areas also seemed to be overlooked.

7.0/10

My stay at La Renaissance Hotel & Spa was quite disappointing. The location is great, making it easy to access local shops and attractions, but the room and service left much to be desired. Unfortunately, issues like noise from the street and within the hotel, along with subpar customer service, overshadowed any positives about the stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was average and in need of care. I noticed small issues like flaking curtains and even found a lunch box under the bed. Despite being spacious, the cleanliness and upkeep were concerning, such as ants in the bathroom and noise from the street that seeped through the balcony doors.
Service
5.0
The customer service was inconsistent and often rude. I had issues upon check-in when my room wasn't ready on time, and staff seemed unhelpful regarding my concerns about noise. Even after requesting assistance, there was a lack of follow-through on their promises.
Location
6.0
The hotel is ideally located in the city center, making it convenient to access shopping areas and attractions. It's great that it’s close to so many eating options, but the surrounding noise can be disruptive.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was less than impressive. The selection was limited, and many items seemed stale or unappetizing. I would recommend searching for breakfast options outside the hotel for a better experience.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel offered some decent amenities, like room service and a rooftop pool, the facilities felt dated and poorly maintained. The noise from the pool area was quite bothersome as well.

6.2/10

I found La Renaissance Hotel & Spa to be quite the mixed bag. The location is prime and the staff were friendly and helpful, though the hotel itself could use some serious updates. My room was clean and the bed was comfy, but I noticed a few maintenance issues that could be bothersome. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're just looking for a basic place to rest your head after exploring the city.

Rooms
6.0
My junior suite was large and clean, but had a few issues like a wobbly shower and faded decor. The bed was really comfy, which I appreciated after long days of exploring.
Service
6.0
Most of the staff were really nice and responsive, even if a few of them had trouble with English. However, the reception area was a bit chaotic and took multiple asks to get things sorted.
Location
9.0
The hotel is in a super convenient spot, right in the center of Marrakech and close to loads of restaurants, shops, and attractions. I could easily catch the City Tour bus nearby, which was a plus.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was pretty basic with mostly bread and pastries. They did serve fresh eggs if you got up early, but overall, it felt kinda lackluster and could definitely use more variety.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were available, like room service and a gym, but there were also some maintenance issues, like a dingy hammam and inconsistent service at the Skybar.

6.4/10

My stay at La Renaissance Hotel & Spa was quite mixed. While the location was excellent, right in the center of Marrakech, I faced numerous issues that impacted my overall enjoyment. The service felt inconsistent, with some staff being unhelpful or rude, particularly if you didn't speak French or Arabic, which was frustrating. Additionally, several problems arose in my room regarding maintenance and cleanliness, making it hard to relax during my time there.

Rooms
5.0
The room I was given had several maintenance issues, such as a broken shower head and constantly running toilet. The cleanliness was also lacking, with the bathroom not properly cleaned during my stay.
Service
5.0
Overall, the service was hit-or-miss. Some staff were helpful, but there were rude encounters, especially when dealing with check-in issues and attempting to communicate in English.
Location
8.0
The hotel’s location is a major plus, being in the center of Marrakech. I found it easy to access attractions, and it was convenient to get a taxi when needed.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited, and I found breakfast to be quite poor in selection. I didn’t dine at the hotel apart from the breakfast, but the dishes I saw being served looked somewhat appealing.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities at the hotel were disappointing. The swimming pool was not suitable for use, and the promised spa amenities were unavailable. Wifi in the room was also unreliable.
